Peter gives his account of how PeoplePlus is helping Omni FM to support candidates

We recently spoke to Peter from Omni. Peter and Omni have been working with PeoplePlus for over a year with a common goal to increase employment across Glasgow’s hospitality sector.
So, Peter how has your experience been with PeoplePlus thus far?
We have been working PeoplePlus for the past 18 months. This has been a fantastic journey as we have forged an excellent partnership to tackle the recruitment within the hospitality sector in Glasgow and look at other avenues and potential candidates that we may not have looked at before.
How did you find out about PeoplePlus?
We found out about PeoplePlus from a LinkedIn Post by Darren Christie and reached out to speak with him to see how Omni and PeoplePlus could work together in Glasgow.
How did PeoplePlus tackle Omni’s needs?
When meeting with Darren and the Team, it was clear that PeoplePlus listened to our needs as a business and worked with us to put together an employability programme based on what we were looking for; after the programme, we have the fantastic support from the team during interviews with the candidates, and from each session, we have managed to take 90% of the candidates put forward. I am happy to say they are still working with us in the business.
What do you feel makes PeoplePlus’s collaboration with Omni unique?
As a business, we have taken more candidates with impairments, along with supporting more working parents into work with flexible hours.
Can you provide an example of a successful outcome that has come from working with us at PeoplePlus?
One of the most effective outcomes of working with PeoplePlus has been how working with them has driven our turnover down from a 200% to a 60% in the area.

I am overall impressed with the service and support that has been provided to us at Omni and to the candidates as PeoplePlus continue to support the candidates over an initial three months period, and this has benefited us in keeping candidates into work. I know that we will continue to grow our partnership even more and stronger as PeoplePlus are not part of the Omni Family.
